MainStreet MD’s philosophy is that parents and other caregivers of individuals challenged with autism want to be actively involved in providing for their safety and well-being. A constant worry is that their affected child or teen may wander from the secure confines of home or property. Or worse, become lost and be unable to communicate their whereabouts.
A former banking and financial services senior executive, Craig Baker founded MainStreet MD in 2006, soon after he and his wife Elizabeth were profoundly affected to learn of their beloved niece’s diagnosis of autism. Since then, MainStreet MD’s personal safety, tracking/location and telemedicine solutions have been approved by many of the leading specialized care, advocacy and educational organizations dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and adults affected with autism and other developmental challenges. Among these are the National Autism Association, the Meeting Street School, and the Groden Network.
